Center for Fine Arts Education
CFAE is a management company that specializes in providing management, finance, planning, and advocacy services for nonprofit associations focused in arts education.
The Center for Fine Arts Education was incorporated on October 20, 2005. It was created to allow arts education organizations cost effective access to high quality professional administration.
The professional staff provides the Florida Art Education Association with general management, financial services, membership management, database administration, web development, conference planning and support, and publication services.
The CFAE provides an extended range of expertise in association management and arts education.

Kathleen D. Sanz, PhD
President/CEO
Kathy has been with CFAE since 2011. As the President and CEO, she is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the company. She serves as the Board Consultant for FAEA. Kathy earned her PhD from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Masters of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida. She is a member of the National Art Education Association, American Society of Association Executives, and the Florida Society of Association Executives. She currently serves as the Past President for the National Association for Music Education.
Val Anderson
Director of Operations
Val has been with CFAE since 2003. As Director of Operations, she is responsible for contract management and various other duties of FAEA. Val received a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida A&M and a certification in Organizational Management through the Institute for Organizational Management (a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce) at Villanova University. She is a member of the Florida Society of Association Executives where she serve on the Education Committee and the American Society of Association Executives.
Josh Bula, PhD
Web Development & Information Technology
Josh has been with CFAE since 2009. His primary duty is web application development and he is also responsible for all network, server, and database administration and general tech support for the staff and clients. He has a PhD in music education and BME from Florida State University, and a Masters in Music from the University of South Florida. He's a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the Professional Association for SQL Server, the Capital City Microsoft .NET Users Group, and various other professional IT associations. He currently serves on the Technology Advisory Committee for ASAE.
Jasmine Van Weelden
Marketing and Membership Coordinator
Jasmine has been with CFAE since 2017. She is responsible for creating marketing content for Fresh Paint magazine, the website, monthly e-newsletters, and social media. She also manages the general membership and the Corporate, Museum, & Scholastic Program partners. She has an MA in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art, and a BA in Art History from Florida State University.
