We are watching the COVID-19 Delta Variant situation closely. FAEA is committed to the health and safety of our attendees and will make every effort to develop plans and policies to instill confidence in your ability to attend safely. 

Masks On Indoors:

We plan to follow CDC Recommendations that are in place at the time of the conference. As of this writing, Orange County is still a High-Transmission area so everyone will be required to wear a mask over their nose and mouth in public indoor settings.

Increased Social Distancing:

  • We have already doubled the size of the rooms we are using for the General Sessions, Keynote Address, and Awards Breakfast to allow for physical distancing. 
  • Seating at table rounds will be reduced from 10 to 5 per table for the Awards Breakfast and Gala to allow for distancing.
  • Hands-on workshops will be capped at 20 participants (28 in the Hibiscus room) to allow each person to work at their own table, and tables will be spaced at least 6-feet apart. 

As we get closer to the conference, this page will be updated to keep our membership and conference attendees informed.

Credit Card Payments Preferred

In the event you will be registering on-site or making additional purchases such as adding paid workshops, Gala tickets, raffle tickets, t-shirts, etc., we prefer that you pay by credit card instead of cash to help prevent the spread of germs. Laptops will be set up near the East Registration desk to make these purchases, and hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes will be available. 

Facilities

The Caribe Royale takes standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and is taking additional steps to ensure the safety of its guests and associates. 

  • Enhanced cleaning and frequent sanitization of common touchpoints
  • Table linens replaced daily
  • Plenty of space for socially distanced queue lines
  • Touchless hand sanitizer stations throughout the conference center
  • Signage to remind attendees to practice social distancing
  • Foodservice modifications include plexiglass guards on all buffets, condiments in individual packets, rolled silverware, disposable gloves available for attendees, etc. 
  • Mask requirements will follow any CDC guidelines or Orange County rules that may be in place at the time of the conference.
