A hands-on session focusing on social-emotional learning through poetry, collage, and mixed media construction will provide participants with an interdisciplinary approach that stimulates creative artmaking. Supplies Needed: Magazine pages Pen and paper Markers Oil Pastels Watercolor/brush/water Bristol Board or Matt Board (as the base of the artwork) Glue stick or rubber cement

This is an extended hands-on Virtual Workshop with limited spots, and requires advance registration.

Dr. Jackie  Henson-Dacey 

Dr. Jackie Henson-Dacey teaches AP Studio Art and IB Visual Arts at Venice High School in Venice Florida. She is an IB examiner, teaches as an adjunct Art History professor at the State College of Florida, and is president of FAEA. She has earned a BFA in Painting from Mass. College of Art in Boston, a master’s degree in Art Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a certificate of Gifted Endorsement from the University of South Florida, a certificate in 21st Century Learning from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Art Education from Walden University. She has published articles in IB World and Art + Activities and provided national webinars.
