Jennifer Snead has been teaching art at the elementary level since 1987 in Duval County. She received her National Board Certification in 1991 and was named Art Educator of the Year by the Jacksonville Cultural Council in 1996. Jennifer has served on the Duval Art Teacher Association (DATA) board as Elementary Chair, President-Elect and President. She currently serves as Past President and Flamingo Fete Chair and regularly writes for the DATA art newsletter. Jennifer has presented several professional development workshops to colleagues throughout Duval County at mini conferences and on planning days. As a member of FAEA, she has attended several conferences and has been a regular presenter. Jennifer is also a member of the National Art Education Association. On the school level, she leads her resource team of 11 and heads up the Cultural Arts Committee and serves on the school’s decision making team (PIC).
On a personal level, Jennifer is married with three children and is a native of Florida. She likes to work in a variety of media both two-dimensional and three-dimensional. She loves creating! Her work has been entered in local shows through DATA in both fall and spring Shows as well as the Flamingo Fete fundraising event.
